Design

The handset has a power button coupled and an alter slider on the right side with the volume rocker on the left. At the rear in the top circle is the main camera lens while in the bottom circle sits two other lenses. A single front facing camera is positioned in the top left of the screen as a cut out and generally keeps out of the way. The clean look of the new OnePlus Nord is spoiled by the logos and writing at the bottom, but this isn’t unusual for OnePlus phones. The glossy finish picks up fingerprints and smears, but it is grippy enough to hold and use without a case. It weighs 190 grams and has dimensions of 159.1 x 73.2 x 8.2 mm (6.26 x 2.88 x 0.32 in).

Display

Coming to the screen, it comes with a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, smaller than OnePlus 10R with a punch-hole cutout offering 2400×1080 pixels and 90Hz screen refresh rate. This makes animations, apps and menus scroll smoother than the standard 60Hz, which you can set the display to if you prefer it or want to save battery life.

Camera

In terms of optics, the OnePlus phone features triple cameras at the back consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP monochrome sensor. Upfront, OnePlus Nord 2T sports a 32 MP sensor for selfies and video calls. Photos are clear and crisp with decent dynamic range and sharpness.

Performance

The OnePlus Nord 2T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and boots with Android 12 out of the box. If you want to indulge in long gaming sessions this phone is more than capable. It’s a lion in daily use, and you won’t experience App or hardware crashes.

Battery Life

OnePlus Nord 2T is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. One of the main upgrades in the Nord 2T from the Nord 2 is the wired charging speed which has gone from 65W to 80W. A 10-minute charge will give you potentially hours of use.
